PEPE MOTTA
José Luis Motta , known as Pepe Motta , born in Buenos Aires on July 6 , 1943 , was an Argentine pianist , arranger, conductor and composer of tango and international music. His greatest successes have been with music for film and television , where he won two Emmy Awards in the United States .
His music, in addition to Argentina , is internationally recognized from the United States , to places like Spain , Australia and Singapore . He won two Emmy Awards in 2000 and 2001 for the music for the Rose Parade. He has also received awards and recognitions, as well as platinum and gold records, as a composer, arranger and producer. For two years in a row he was on Billboard Magazine's Most Famous Latino Producers list. He organized the [First Tango Festival in Los Angeles, sponsored by the Municipality of Los Angeles, California, USA. He played with the Philadelphia Orchestra. He was also honored by the Argentine National Congress for his career. Pepe Died on April 8, 2019 in the US.
His music has appeared in television series and films around the world, among them: The Good Wife (CBS), Devious Maids (ABC), American Horror Story (FX).
