One of the country's most significant cultural contributions is the tango, a partner dance which originated in the 1880s along the River Plate (Río de Plata), the natural border between Argentina and Uruguay. This selection, a combination of well known songs and new compositions, performed by acclaimed Argentinean artists such as Jose Luis "Pepe" Motta, as well as his son, the now popular Pablo Motta, peppered with a humorous Milonga and a folksy Chacarera.
