Santa Muerte is a Chicano Rock band lead by talented performers Juan Cosme and Ramon Velarde.

Juan Cosme, a versatile performer and writer in various genres such as Rock, Pop, Salsa, Latin Hip Hop, and R&B. Juan has been the lead singer with local Los Angeles Orchestra Sangre Nueva. Previously he played and toured as backup vocalist with the orchestra of Cuban crooner Adonis Puentes. Juan has also written songs with international pop star Diego Torres. Juan has also been touring with renowned Mexican superstar, Gloria Trevi. In addition, Juan’s songs have appeared in Television shows such as Jane the Virgin (CW), The Blacklist (NBC), The Expanse (SyFy), Zoo (CBS), Get Shorty (Epix), The Gifted (Fox), and The Deuce (HBO). Juan is currently writing and producing his upcoming solo artist album.

Ramon Velarde is a Producer, Composer and Guitar Player located in Los Angeles, California. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Ramon started playing with local bands, touring nationally, and recording music at the age of 15. After 10 years he relocated to Los Angeles to study at Cornell School of Music with professors the likes of Abraham Laboriel, Otmaro Ruiz, Mauricio Guerrero and Daniel Indart, among others. Ramon’s songs have appeared in Television shows such as Mayans (FX), Pretty Little Liars (Freeform), and indie film Keep in Touch, as well as commercials for Spectrum, Metra, Curacao Stores and Dignity Heath. Ramon is also currently working on his upcoming solo artist album.

Both Ramon and Juan wrote and recorded songs for Santa Muerte’s first album with the label LMS Records. Their song, El Toro Enmascarado, was featured in season one of Robert Rodriguez’s TV series From Dusk till Dawn on Netflix.
